Bellus Angel sick

I have a bellus angel in a QT who's not eaten for 4 days plus been swimming upside down and on side at times. He does not show any other outside signs of problems. What could it be?

Unfortunately, in my opinion, prognosis is not good. I have learned never to attempt males or transitional males in Genicanthus as the odds are against success.

Pinning is physical decompression of a fish collected at depth by using a pin rather than time; I am unaware of any treatment for improper pinning that works. Sorry.

The male died today despite Kanamycin, Nitro. Female is in DT and doing very well. Will this female transition to a male and in that case can I then get another female to pair up?

The female will likely not transition. I have had one six or seven years with no transition. Depending on tank size (larger is much better), a small female may cause an established female to transition.
