bending plexi

Anyone know how to bend plexi. I want to create a hook that can hang on the side of my tank so that I may attach stuff. I basically need a plastic piece that looks like a J.

I've done it simply by putting it over the stove until it's bendable. Running under cold water sets it fast.

Take the paper off first.

Heat gun, torch, and I have even used boiling water.

Heat gun is best. Torch overheats it and creates bubbles in it. Just lay it over something that can get hot and put the heat gun to it.

Hey Buddy....whats the ''j'' hook going to be holding?
I made a frag rack using eggcrate and glue...The J hook on the frag rack was made out of eggcrate too!!!
Also Lou has a sort of soap dish that comes with suction cups holding his frags in his tank.

Hey Mel why don't you tell us how you use magnets and live rock to make a shelf that was the best idea i've ever seen and it looks realy natural. Just a thought.
