Benefits of becoming a member?

I've been floating around thinking of the possibility of becoming a memeber. Was wondering what are the benefits of becoming a member and what if anything you have to do besides pay a fee i've seen? Also heard about discounts at lfs? Thanks
Jon

The membership fee already pays for itself with the LFS discount we get. Even if John's (YourReef) was the only store that honored the MARS discount, it would still be worth it. Yet, the discount is even good all the way down in Milpitas at Aquatic Gallery.

In the 17 months that I've been in the club, I've met, conversed, and exchanged with more aquarists than I have in the previous 17 years in the hobby.

I try my best to make it to as many meetings as I possibly can. When I'm there, I feel welcome. It's a family friendly environment, where you have a chance to not only learn something new, but take home a prize as well.

If I could find something negative, it would be the lack of variety of Round Table's menu;)

from the website:
10%-20% discount at most area aquarium stores
10% off Round Table Pizza the night of the meeting
use of the group library
Full access to the website
monthly newsletter
Participation in frag swaps

Sounds like a great opportunity how do people and stores know your a member besides seeing you at meeting and such? With my crazy hours i get at the store not sure if i will be able to make it all the time.
