What exactly are all the Benefits of a Refugium.... Do they help at all with organics???

Great for nitrate ruducing. Great for unknown critters. With the right substrate will help with suppliments. Best is the fact you can put your skimmer , heaters in there for less main tank clutter.
You can have a dragonette like manderan.Only plus's no negitives.

Well depends on the heater placement. If you have a Sump and a Fuge then i would place those things in the sump. But as he said it reduces nitrates and other things on those lines. It also allows for a natural food source for pods and such.

I've never really had much luck using one for a nutrient reducer. However, it does produce all kinds of pods and other little critters for your corals and fish to eat.
