Benefits to having an Algae Turf Scrubber in a softie tank?

I'm debating whether or not I put an ATS in my tank. There's limited room, and putting one in would be difficult at best, and perhaps impossible.

But do I need one? I know the benefits of having one for an SPS tank, but considering how much nutrients the softies suck out of the water, should I really be considering pulling all of it out via the ATS?

I think you're overestimating how much nutrients softies extract from the water. But the real question is what your bio load will be. With a lot of fish and or heavy feeding, I think you'll benefit from the scrubber. I run one of sorts on my system, basically a tank full of macroalgae( I realize turf scrubbers use other algaes but in my opinion you can do quite well with macro). It has tremendously helped the water quality and cuts way down on nuisance algae. It's a great low maintainence option.
