Bengai cardinal trying to mate with scooter blenny

I have never seen this before....My cardinal is trying to mate with my scooter blenny. Hilarious! The blenny doesn't seem to mind at all, just keeps going about his business. This has gone on all day.
I only have one cardinal. Since its trying to mate could I add another one without aggression? He is obviously looking for a mate.

If it's a male, then I would add two to three females, if its female I would add another female and a male.

It's like watching a bad bar scene...all that effort and nothing but rejection
