Berghia Nudibranch

i second that. i have aptasia everywhere. no matter what i use i miss some and they come back.

One thing I can tell you is not to get them From Marine Depot if they even hae them. I placed an order from them and they bagged them?? Not smart. The water shacking around kill them. I got a bag of cloudy stinky water basically. I called and called and called and no body cares about my situation.

Two weeks later I got and order from someone online and they arrived happy and alive. He sent them in a specimen container and there was no air so not shaking effect. They went right to work eating and laying eggs. They thrived in my tank for about two months and then slowing started to die off because they ran out of food. Later I read an article by Eric B, and he said he was growing aptaisa in a separate tank just to feed his Berghias so they would stay alive. lol

it was on thread on rc i think. some people caught some off the coast of texas and put them in their tanks. in tx. they feed on a native anemone that resembles aiptasia. i'll look for it b/c i'm considering it, but i just found some berghias on ebay. we should throw in for some we could save on shipping and buy as few as we need. if they clear out the tank so fast and end up starving we could just move them from tank to tank.

i might be getting some soon through a local breeder. i'll let you know who as soon as my lfs lets me know.

great links I enjoyed ready that. I have also been using cal hydroxide for about 4 years to take care of just one or two that might pop up from time to time. I learned that from Garf. Bascially you mix the Cal Hydro with some r/o water, nuke it for about 30 secs then inject it right into the little sucker. I think Joes Juice is the same thing. Pretty Funny

If the picture they posted on mattliu's link...

...is in fact a Molly Miner blenny then they are EVERYWHERE in the Tampa-bay sea grass beds... in fact I just put 2 in a small tank with aiptasia to test yesterday (funny timing)... I'll post what happens. If it does I can catch more for anyone easy. And besides their being useful they have lots of personality... they will actually interact with you.

UPDATE: The blennies haven't touched the aiptasia despite being unfed. They did however eat my nassarius snails right away. Oh well.

If anyone's interested in getting some Berghia from http://www.berghia.net/ I'd be interested... we could save on shipping.
