hey everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but if it needs to be moved, mods please do so. I recently put 5 berghia into my sump they layed eggs (which i have been monitoring) for the past 8 days. my question is, will pods eat berghia eggs? when checked today the eggs were gone but i can not locate a single berghia. the fact that they survived in the refuge for the past 7 days and on day8 they got eaten does not make sense to me. so I'm just hoping they are hiding. there is plenty of aphasia in my refuge for them to eat. thanks in advance for any information in the meantime i will continue to look for them.. thanks

Kyle

I added three and an egg string to a 20 gallon full of aptasia. I seen one only once, but slowly but surely the aptasia disappeared. Now that the tank is clean of aptasia, I thought I would be able to catch them to relocate, well no such luck.

Pods will absolutely eat the egg strands. I added a group of berghias and would see a spiral of eggs here or there. They never lasted more than a 2-3 days. Since yours lasted a full week (I believe they hatch around day 8), you might get lucky.

Check and re-check your overflows for the berghia. I was pulling 1-2 out a night, every single night (granted my tank is a 29g cube, so they don't have far to travel to get back to the vents, but still)
