Best 20K DE HQI Bulb?

I am currently running 2 14K Reflux and 1 20K Reflux 250w de hqi bulbs and looking to replace them. Funny thing is I am getting much better growth and color in the center of my 125 gal tank,(which is where the 20Ks are) So I need some advise. Should I change all bulbs to 20K? What brand?

Never heard of them. Heard of Reeflux from Coralvue but not reflux. Do you have a link to any info on them or a link for where you bought them?

Check out Helios. Radium doesnt make a 250W DE bulb

For Par, the Phoenix is tops. Even though its sold as a 14k, its a really blue 20k+ bulb.

hmm, i coulda swore they made thm in 250w now. i thought i saw them the other day when i was looking for my 150w bulb.

That would be sweet if they were, I would like to try them. It kind of surprises me that they don't being a German company.

So go with the Phoenix 14k, instead of 20k's, they are reeflux the ones I have now.

The Reeflux are 10K and 12K, they dont come in 14K and 20K. Coralvue has Coralvue labeled bulbs in 14K and 20K but not the Reeflux. Unless they just came out with new 14 and 20k versions that I am not aware of.

I dont like the color of the Phoenix bulbs myself but Jamesdawson is right. They have very good par and despite being labeled as 14K they actually measure over 20K.

Radium 250 watt is only available in mogul base, not DE.

If you want a bulb that is about as blue as they come, the Helios 20K is available in DE 250 watt. They also have good par. Not as high as the phoenix but very good for as blue as they are.

I don't care for the washed-out blue of the Phoenix either. I replaced it after about two months. It is a phoney pastel blue that looks very unnatural IMO.

Nice bulb, one of my fav's in 250 DE and 175 SE for color, but not a whole lot of par.

i use 20k ushios on evc electronic ballast and grow acros well its awsome too me and high quality you wont be disapointed rip
