Best 400 Watt Ballest

I'm about to upgrade lightening, but wondering what ballest to use. So which ballest would you use. IceCap, Galaxy, or CoralVue.

I will be needing to run 3x400watts in probably Lumanbrights.
I know this may be subjection and personal preferences, but advice would be appreciated.

I think a lot will depend on type of bulbs you would like to used. As for me, I'm also using LB (large) reflector w Galaxy/ Radium combo (400w)

I agree. Get an idea on what fixture/reflector/bulb you're interested in, then start looking at ballasts. For example, I run primarily Reeflux, so I paired it with the matching CoralVue adjustable electronic. For many other bulbs I'd likely go with an IceCap electronic.

I'm plan on using lumanbrights. Not sure what bulbs but I don't like alot of blue. Probably radium 12000 for color and growth. Any suggestions would help. My tank is around 25-27 inches deep from top of water to sand and would like to start placing more sps in tank.

Sorry to be the one to tell you this but radium only comes in 20K.

Ooops. Thanks Ed Reef for correction. I have so much to learn. That's why I'm asking advice on this site because of the knowledeable people. I think I was thinking of reeflux bulbs. I was told that they are good for growth and color.

If you're planning on using reeflux, then either of those 3 ballast brand you mention should be fine.

However, if ever one day you might decided to used Radium (which IMO the best MH bulb out there for color/ par) then might be wiser to choose Galaxy ballast

Just my 2 cents, which I'm sure some might disagree...
