Best AI Prime Settings

I'm now running a AI Prime on a EVO 5 Gallon tank with Softies and LPS. What is the best settings for the light? I want to run the light on Auto Mode but I'm having trouble playing with all the LED Settings etc. I want the best color and growth for my tank. BTW I'm using the AI Tank mount arm the fixture is about 10-12 inches above the water line. Thanks

My peak settings, which are from 2-7 are B:100 V:100 DB:100 UV:100 R:30 G:30 W:65. Sunrise and sunset are changing every 30mins from start to finish

Nano-reef.com has some posts on settings but I am curious to see what people have used for long term success. I have had my prime for a couple weeks and my euphillia, lps, shrooms, and zoas are doing fine. Here is a pic of my settings.

That current light setting is fine with mushrooms and other softies like zoas and such but your euphillia can take more light and idk what else you have but you'll def need more light if you wanna do a mixed reef tank. I know you said it was only 5, but just in case you ever decide to go bigger I would advice the light increase. Had my prime for 10 months. The first 4 months nothing grew too much but once I up'd the light things took off!

What my peak settings look like. It's a 30 jbj nano with one prime

I've only had the lights a couple weeks but I am ramping them up slowly. Most of my corals came out of the middle of my my t5 lit tank with par around 200-300. I ran a par meter on the AI Prime on a friends tank earlier this year and I remember the readings were much lower than I thought.

thanks for the great advice, I will start ramping more light...by the looks of things people run high values for the UV, Blues, Violet and Deep Blues and lower on the other settings.

I just got back from one of the best LFS in our area and they said for their tanks they acclimate up to 100% on the blues, 40% for violet/uv, rgw around 10%. I changed my setting to this for 6 hours and I'll se how it goes. Plus I have a 2 hour ramp up and down with just blues.

Let me know how those settings work for you. I have noticed a trend with people running more of the Blues, Violet, UV. Will that setting make the corals grow faster? Do you dose your Nano tank? How did you setup your 2 Hour Ramp time with just Blues? With the AI Prime you can have different colors run at different times? I'm still a newbie with my AI fixture. I run the Auto Easy Mode.

The light alone won't make your coral grow. You have to overtime master different aspects in these nano tanks lol. Like quantity of fish and nutrients that goes in the tank. Along with Alk and Calc consumption. I have 7 fish in a jbj 30 and only and had it setup up for about 10 months. Took me 6 months to keep a day maintain nitrate and phosphates along with Alk. I have sps, but if you don't them Alk is no biggie, especially if you do water changes often. Just research the coral and anemones you may want, find out their lighting recommendations, and adjust your light around that and also place your coral in the proper place. With this light over your small nano you won't have any problem with your coral not getting enough light.

I have two over a 36 bow. I am slowly adding more light (mostly blue), about 2% per week. I'm at about 60% now. I just play with the white to get the visual look I like which is generally around 14k or so.

I dose my main tank but not the nano. I do test ca, mg, dkh, po3, no4 and so far I don't need to dose. Only dose if you test and know for sure you have an issue. Also, you may still need to dose without sps. Lps and other coral with skeletons will also suck up ca/mg/dkh. My lps/softie main tank drops .3 dkh a day. Here are my changed AI settings

How do you adjust the AI Prime for different color spectrums at different times?
