best all in one medication?

I have been having the hardest time positively identifying what is ailing my fish. I have witnessed signs of ick brook and velvet. So I figure I have one or a combo of the three. I have the fish in QT is there one treatment that will battle all three of these? What I have read seems to be a bit contradictory.

Copper (i prefer seachem's cupramine) is very effective against ich and velvet. Hyposalinity is NOT effective against velvet.

Formalin dips are effective against brook. Check this thread

Note that you CANNOT put formalin in water that has copper.

I have some cupramine so I can use that. Can I use a regular copper test kit for it? And to cover myself against the brook could I remove the fish from the copper to do the formalin baths?

I've had problems with using API's test kit for copper so I just bought Seachem's kit, which works well.

Maybe somebody else can chime in regarding removing from copper and dipping in formalin since I've never done it before.
