Best Aptasia Cure

My personal experience is peppermint shrimp work much better than any injection / covering solutions that I have tried. I have had best luck with injection of hot kalk paste, but only with larger Aiptasia that the shrimp did not seem to want to mess with.

I also use the Mrs. Wages pickling lime.

When I had a big problem, I picked up a Klein's Butterfly which cleaned up the rocks real nice. He had to go to my FO tank after he started picking at Acans.

I tried the peppermints, but I think my Hawk (who is only about 2.5 inches) may have eaten them. Are peppermints and cleaner shrimp compatible?

i tried joes and x with no luck from either (actually think it made them grow faster).
I hit them with vinegar bout 2 months ago and havent seen one yet. And there is nothing in my tank that eats them so i know their is no livestock helping keep them away

Yes. Pepps and Cleaners are compatible and will get along just fine as well as Blood Red Shrimp. Hawk's are tough to catch and I would not doubt for a second that yours is eating any shrimp you put in the tank. I have heard of hawks behaving in tanks before and that is why I gave one a chance. Model citizen with all others... shrimp become dinner.

2nd try with peppermint shrimp got a couple from salty nice sized,
Lazy s.o.b’s are doing nothing. just sitting there rocking back and forth taunting me! Wait! I think one just flipped me off! I'm getting the cocktail sauce ready..
Other then that I use the boiling water in the turkey baster then calk paste the hole they were in ..
