Best Aquarium Magnet

What is the best aquarium magnet for a 1/2" thick acrylic tank. I have a Hammerhead, but it isn't performing as well as I like.

Using a Magnavore on an Oceanic 125 w/ 1/2" glass....Magnet is very strong, but still have to get your arm wet every now and then to really scrub off the stuff that wont come loose with the scrubbing pad on the Magnavore.

Somewhere, I read about using a "Mr. Clean" pad to scrub the glass but was concerned with the possible chemicals contained in the pad...I read that there is supposedly a pad w/o the built in soap chemical...

tagging along too --- what's a "dobie pad"?

They are a sponge and scrubber that you can get at walmart for a buck or so and you cut the scrubber part off and stick your hammerhead in it and voila! Best cleaner ever!

This is what they look like.

If you do use the Mr. Clean pads they have to be the original with no stripes or other stuff added. I've avoided them for the reason that the ones I find all come in a multi pack but I have seen them used with no ill effects. I just like my Dobie pad and a credit card for the hard to clean spots.

I've used the Mr. Clean pads on a fairly regular basis at home and on my classroom tanks. They work well, but eventually they start to fall apart (like a pencil eraser). The little pieces aren't toxic but a little annoying floating around :)

And yes, it needs to be the original chemical free/unscented version
