I dont want to start a huge uproar/debate thread, but would like some suggestions or opinions on what would be the best bottom for my new set-up.
I have switched from DSB mixed tanks to barebottom highly skimmed SPS tanks and have liked and had had sucess with both.
My new set-up is a 150 gal display with a 55 gal sump. I'm going to only be keeping softies, shrooms, BTA's, and zoas with only a handful (10-12) of smaller fish.
I already have the starboard for the bottom because I was going to go barebottom and have two tunze 6060s sitting on the bottom of one end of the tank keeping all particles off the starboard then a closed loop keeping motion for the rest of the tank.
I am going to be running two EuroReefs that I have laying around, an ES 8-2 and ES 5-2.
Should I stay the course or dump in the sand? Suggestions please.
