Best calcium reactor media?

Please recommend a reactor media for my GEO 612 - I have been using Korallin reactor media, but have been seeing real 'chunky' media in several threads....Gen X media I think it has been called???

Good Morning PitStop, i have the same reactor as you do and i use the Gen-X media work's like a charm and is sized very big like the schuran media longer grain, hope this help's...

Im also running a GEO 612 with gen x media. The 10lb for $21 will more than fill the reactor.

Why is the chunky media - i.e. coral skeletons - so much better than ARM or Korallin?

The Gen-X Media claims similarity to the Schuran media, why is the Schuran media so awesome?

Essentially, is the Gen-X media worth it; is it more expensive?

I called Marine Depot about the coarse ARM and they said they did not have it.

I second the Shuran, havent tried the Gen x stuff.

I used the ARM stuff for a couple of years, I dont really care for it.
still have an uponed jug downstairs.

the LARGER skeletons will not mush, clump, and clog the reactor, allowing ofr good flow throughout the entire media bed.

What do you think about the GEO 612, I'm looking into purchasing a GEO also for 120g? Some people have recommended using: ROWA, Warner Marine, Fauna Marin and Zeovit Media.
