best circulation pump for calcium reactor?

My sicce 1.5 is leaking. I dont think it's the oring, as i just cleaned it and the housing and greased it with Si grease. The oring seems and feels perfect. Pump still leaks. It's already taken enouhgh time to get to this point still leaking. I'm not spending more time trying to fix it anymore.

So what is the most reliable, leak proof pump for a GEO dual chamber reactor? Maybe it is the same pump? I also need it to fit the tubing on the Geo reactor. I dont know for sure the tubing size. I think it's 5/8 ".. Not sure. But overall what is the best pump -- leak proof primarily, and also least service needed.

I’ve been using eheim for years. Great pumps for it.

I’m building a large reactor for my new tank and am using a vectra s2. Not sure if anyone has used a dc pump on a reactor yet (and reported back about it)

I would replace it with the bombproof Eheim 1250. Have Serdar at Geo’s Reef make you a new pump mounting plate. The threaded fittings for the Eheim 1250 are 11mm for the outlet and 13mm for the inlet. The flex tubing for the recirculation loop of the GEO CaRx is 1/2”. So you will need a 3/8” MNPT x 1/2” barb coupler for the outlet and a 1/2” MNPT x 1/2” barb elbow for the inlet. Use plenty of Teflon tape or Teflon paste (Plasto-Joint-Stik or Rectorseal) on the threads to account for the slight differences between the metric and NPT fittings and ensuring a leak free seal.

These Eldon James fittings are the same ones used on all GEO reactors.

When George still owned GEO, he used Eheim pumps for all of the GEO’s line of calcium reactors, though he used the smaller 1048. They have since been replaced by the Sicce pumps. While the Sicce pumps are very good pumps in their own right, there is no question that the Eheim pumps were of better quality.

I had a Geo with the 1048 pump on it and it leaked around the oring. I contacted Eheim and they gave me a new volute.

I had the same problem with my sicce 1.5 so I sealed it shut with silicone. I can still soak in citric acid if I want, but it's been running three years now without touching it.
