If you got the $$$$ check out www.nanotuners.com and get a modded nanocube. I have the 108W and it's great. Tons of light, everything looks healthy.

If you want MH go to Dr. Foster and Smiths. They have a 24 gallon Aquapod with the open top sunpod MH fixture for a good price.

The biocube is sneaky, they call it a 29 but it's actually in the 23-24 gallon range. That reason alone I'll never get one, companies need to stop falsley advertising their products.

Ok thanks, but what do you think bout the 24 Gallon, 64W Compact Fluorescent System for LPS and zoos and shroms and softies??

That's what I had for several months before upgrading to the 108 hood.

Good system, didn't get fantastic colors from some corals, spent a small fortune at www.ultimatefrags.com when I first started and wondered why the stuff didn't look as nice in my tank :)

Zoa's, Softies and Mushrooms (Including Rics and Yuma's) do very well under the stock lighting.

If you want to deal with blasto welsi's they can thrive in this tank. Just keep them in low flow and on or towards the sandbed and feed them once or twice a week and they will do great under the stock PC's.

Acans also do very well in the stock tank and hold their color.

The only things I've tried and didn't like were micro's and gorgs. The micro never colored up and the gorg didn't have enough light, I have since gotten a couple gorgs under the upgraded light and they are doing great.

Pics of my setup are here:

Like I said, everything was under the stock lights except for the gorgs.

Good luck.

Awesome thanks!!! I think I am going to get that with 30 lbs of aragamax.

Do you know how frogspawn will pair will do?

Well thanks again!

And nice tank BTW!

I think every company is "sneaky" when it comes to water capacity, I read somewhere that they are all overrated because of the way they measure the tank...

if you want a aquapod 24 go to www.premiumaquatics.com they have the best deal on them arround ,,or another option is cadlights.com 22 gallon wiht t-5 lighting ,,the are the 2 tank i am looking at right now but can not decide,,for comparisons the aquapod 24 wiht 150hqi is only $299 at premium aquatics ,,the cad ligth tank is 369 but if you see it you will now why

jewtball, i was looking at the 25g Cadlights as well, when are you going to start a thread with pics of yours so we can see what it looks like in operation?

Depends on what you want to keep in your tank. If you want to go the sps/clam route, go either 150W aquapod or go to nanotuners as stated above. Chris does a very good job modifying tanks.

If you want to wait (and I'd also wait to see what flaws people notice), you can look into the new jbj nanocube. http://www.jbjlighting.com/prod_28g_nano.html

Good luck. It's always fun to shop for a new tank!! Just plan it out well!!
