Best digital timers for BRS dosers?

Like the title says. Looking for some good timers to dose 2 part. Who is using what? What do you suggest? Did a search. Really didnt come up with much.

What's your budget? Apex is a wonderful way to control them and fail safe programming to shut the dosers off, say if the ph goes above a specific number-

I have been looking into controllers. Apex and Reefkeeper seem like the top 2. I dunno maybe i should really consider doing it.

From your equipment list, I say go Apex. It's a fantastic unit. I had the rk and moved to the Apex after 1.5 yrs. The controllability of the apex is limitless. I don't use a quarter of the available features, yet the basic web viewing and smart phone capability is worth it IMO

The digital timer I found that works best is Brinks model 44-1030, it is a 7 day 6 settings per day and comes with battery backup. Works great with BRS dosers, I tried the Woods digital timers and they would loose the settings every day. HTH

You can get a RKL Level 1 for $120 and still have 2 additional controllable outlets. It's a great controller for the price.

How does the temp probe on the RKL hook up without an SL1 or SL2? Does it plug directly into the head unit?

It's called the iTemp and it connects to the end of the PC4(module that had controllable outlets). No need for a SL1 or SL2 to monitor temp with a RKL

I looked at that too but that will dose both ca and alk at the same time. People are saying to dose at different times. So that puts me to 2 timers or a controller. Not sure which way to go yet.

yeah I understand that part, I can dose mine at the same time because they are dosed in 2 diffrent area's of my sump and fuge with high flow that they never get with each other till they are mixed.

I guess i could do that also. Maybe dose Ca in my first chamber and Alk in the return area. Would dosing Ca in the first chamber where my skimmer is have any negative affects?

it won't have any ill effects the skimmer will actully help mix it up.

here is a pic of my sump/fuge. the fuge (on top) is where I dose my cal. and the lower part is where I dose my alk.
