Hello again,

for starters, many thanks to all of you that have been helping me out with all my questions!

here is my latest, i have a pair of black clows, my flamehawk and have recently added a coral beauty Angel to the tank. They are all doing well, but the angel isn't much for coming to the top to get the pellets when i feed, but definitely gets some of the frozen food i feed when i hit that twice a week. any way to get him to eat my pellets at all?

What pellets are you feeding? How long as the angel been in there?

IME the best way to get a fish who is eating one thing to eat another thing is to mix them. This usually seems to work well for getting a fish off frozen and on to pellets.

The next time you feed frozen, put the cube in a small dish of tank water and put a pinch of pellets in there. The pellets will pick up some of the smell of the frozen food. Dump it all in the tank.

Over time, use less and less frozen, and most of the time, the fish will start eating the pellets, too.

he has eaten the pellets, the others are so aggressive it never gets down to him, or he never comes up to it. he's only been in the tank about a week and i just want to see him eat a little more than usual personally.

Here's a little trick you can try. Take a pinch of pellets in your fingers and hold them under the water for a few seconds. Then release them slowly. They sink better when they are wet and you can add them gradually. I don't turn off powerheads when I feed pellets. I think the fish like to chase them. Don't forget to rinse your hands if you have lotion or soap on them, or use vinyl disposable gloves. We already know your angel likes the pellets. He just needs to compete for them with more greedy tank mates.
