Best filtration for nano's?

Hi, I'm looking for some insight for what I should use in my tank. Currently have a innovated marine 20g with upgraded intank.com media baskets running chemipure elite and purigen, aqua Euro nano skimmer 2, and a minimax reactor running a bag of rowa phos. Tank is 8 months old and I'm dealing with high phosphates right now possibly leaking from my rocks. I've made changes to solve the problem but what can I do to speed up the process? Cal, mag, and alk stay in good levels but phosphates go anywhere from .06-.10. I do weekly 2.5-3G water changes and cut back on feeding my 2 clowns and stopped feeding corals about a month and half ago. But phosphates are still present. Should I use different media in my baskets like carbon instead of chemipure or phos gaurd? I have I thick mat of light brown algae that grows extremely fast. Should I do something different? And how long will the chemipure and purigen last in such a high phosphate tank?

Right now I would use all GFO in your baskets. It can take a while and only the rock knows how long it will take. You will want to increase the GFO gradually like add it to one extra basket a week. If you add too much too fast it would be worse than having high phosphate. You don't want to strip the water too quickly.

Depending on how saturated the phosphate level is your GFO could be used up very quickly, so be mindful of that.

It's a waiting game as of now, if up the water changes to either twice a week at 2.5 or weekly 5g changes. Maybe try swapping out larger pieces of rock with newer rock if it is possible!
