best flow for a nano

What's the best flow for a small 20 gal fish tank? What kind of pumps do you use on your tank? I'm looking to fill it with coral, Mostly SPS, but maybe some LPS. (and of course live rock)

mp10? Nice pump but a little out of my price range. I should have not said "best flow" :P.
how about good flow for a reasonably cheap price?

Yes they are but worth it. Reefbreeders has some decently priced pumps, but have never tried any myself. You dont plan on having a sump?

No sump, this is a desk fish tank.

I think I'd like to have 1 hang on the back so I can put bags for filtration. But I'm not sure what else I should add...?

The aquaclears have some pretty cool mods that you can do to convert them into refugiums etc. Im not a big sps guy so im not to sure on how well youll do with hangs ons as far as success with sps, but anything is possible. Hydor koralias are also decent, cheap pumps

Yes thats more realistic he has it loaded with softies and lps. Nice thank! I love simple tanks like that. Makes me wonder about mine lol

Well just take a look at this guy. He has 2 hang ons as far as I can see, and his tank is doing excellent. (no sump)

All he has is a 1 gallon refugium.

The tank in the video doesn't have any SPS though. Different requirements for what he's got in there.

Here is what I have for flow in my 9-gallon. It is plenty strong for my tank, so maybe get 2 of them? They are cheap and effective. I had one just die on my after 2.5 years, which I consider decent for $9.

Oh, I forgot sps and softies are different! Sorry lol.

Thanks for sharing that though. I like how you can adjust the flow rate, and it's super cheap. Maybe I'll get a hang on the back and one of those. Are they actually quiet?

Yep, very quiet. My tank is directly next to the living room TV, and I never hear a thing...except when a snail decides to press against it and it rattles a bit.
