Hi i was wondering the types of foods people are feeding their Carpet Anemones?
Also how frequently?
I have been feeding uncooked shrimp and scallops that i get at the sea food market. I cut it up real small and feed is every other day but I also have really small carpets so i'm looking for mine to get a little bigger.
One more question has any one found any foods that enhance the color of the anemones?
thanks

I feed my gigantea a pea-sized amount once or twice a week. It ain't picky. I feed fresh shrimp, scallop, fish fillets, squid, silversides - whatever. I usually soak in selcon for a few hours first.

I use the frozen mysis cubes. I think these can't be beat for convinience and ease of use. I just pop out a cube and put it into a syringe with water to thaw it out, then shoot it towards the anemone. I do this once a week. My carpet is about 20'' across :D

+1 for frozen mysis with selcon. I used to feed 4-5 times a week when I first got it but he's grown so much that I only feed 1-2 times a week. was about 8" when I got it in january but is now about 16". I drip the selcon on and feed while half frozen still so the mysis doesn't float everywhere and the carpet loves them.

I feed mine what it catches out of the water. I feed my tank a home made mix and it always seems like he gets something from shrimp, mysis, squid, krill and what ever is mixed in with it. Sometimes it gets alot and sometimes nothing to little at all.

I feed mine (( total of 5 Haddonis )) about every 3-4 weeks. I use thawed krill, about 1-4 pieces depending on the size of the anemone.
