Hello everybody! I am upgrading my 150g mixed reef to a 250g mixed reef tank!! The dimensions of the new tank are 72x30x26 (LxWxH). It is 3 sided star fire with euro bracing. I will be keeping SPS,LPS and other soft corals. What light fixture do you think I should go with?? I welcome every bodies opinion!!!
Thanks
Brad

I'm open to any fixture! I'm not sure if I'm going with a canopy or not! Lets figure out the best lighting for my tank first!

if led Aqua Illuminations Sol Blue 3-6 units depending on height.

if MH Hamilton Cebu 72" MH/T5/led combo

if T5 Aquatic Life 12z39w T5 fixture or if hanging 2- ATI Sunpower 36" fixtures.

All 3 types are fine. It's what you like/afford.

My choice? Aqua Illuminations

10x80w ATI Powermodule is the best T5 fixture you can get for the tank. You may be able to get away with 8 bulbs if you watch your placement of coral.

Going with 8 bulbs allows you to get the ATI Sunpower and save some money overall.

Don't use Aquatic Life over that deep of tank. You won't be able to keep anything on the bottom with it. Also going with 2 - 36" fixtures is worse than one 60" fixture. You have to replace twice as many bulbs and you lose a lot of PAR right in the middle of the tank.

Lots of people run a 60" fixture over a 72" tank with great success.
