best lighting for a shallow reef only 12"??

it all depends on width of tank, you may need more bulbs. either way tek is going to be your best option as of light.

Tek with hanging kit so you can make very large adjustments. good luck no way with led or mh

Hey i kinda have the same type of problem. I have a custom 13" high that i have 6 watts of LED's with 4 36W CFL's. There about 4 inches off the water. Does anyone think that its overkill? The width is the same as the height.
