Hi guys
So i want to get a anemone, not sure on which type i want yet. I've been reading that a lot of them need medium lighting but i have no idea what means. A lot of people say you need 5 watts per gallon and i have a 90 gallon tank. I cant seem to find lights with high wattage. Thanks for any advice.

whats lights do you want to use? T5HO, MH, or LED's

either one will work fine but letting us know which type of lighting you want to use will help people find you a good light

I can't help you out with LED's as I don't know much about them. on my tank which is a 75 gal. basically the same as yours I run 2- 250 watt MH and 2 4' VHO's looks great and can keep anything i want in the tank.
2 of these would look great on the tank and you really don't need the vho's if you don't want, I use them for dusk/dawn effect

another option is a 6 bulb T5HO setup something like this that has good quality reflectors

Thanks for the info! Whats the lowest wattage do you think i can go and still keep my anemone health?

2 of the 165w Chinese Black Box Timer lights would be great, better spectrum and cool features, remote control and built in LCD screen with 3 channels timer, you can set time for each of 3 channels, then light will be turned ON or OFF automatically,Also it has manual dimmer knobs for intensity,I run 2 of them for my 90 gal tank,it works great.

As most others have said, T5, MH, and LED all work just fine.

I personally have raised and sold numerous RBTA's over the years with T5 and 250/400W MH lights without any problem. Fed them once per week and never had any trouble.
