I installed one of these after I saw it working in Ken's Tank (kenfuzed). I am using it with my old magnet cleaner. It works great!!!!

What's the difference between the Piranha and the Hammerhead? One has stronger magnet? I see that they are the same size. Should I use the Hammerhead even though my acrylic is only 1/4" thick?

I don't like the magfloat at all. It scratches the OUTSIDE of the acrylic, even when meticulously cleaned. I've seen some people place soft cloth between the handle and the tank, but it's just harder to see what you're doing.

Glad I have glass. I figure $20 for the magfloat is worth a shot, anything has to be better than the JBJ one I have which is rated for thinner glass. If it's no good, I'll sell it for $15 and get the $70 algae free.
