I would do this, I would use tide mode but with a very short interval- maybe 30 minutes. I would pulse them as you are doing but probably 50% to 100% every 3-4 seconds. I would aim them from the back rear corners to the front just shy of center, this will make a rolling current

You think this will work for my tank ? my tank is 2'x2'x7' and if it will be better to go with one hour interval or six hours ? mostly SPS tank i have my 6100 like DS tank , but just forward of the overflows.

I would use the program I suggested, at the tail end the flow is weak so that is why you want to switch faster than I would usually suggest.
