Best "nano skimmer"

I have a nano and have tried to research this subect thoroughly. Yout 29 gl may be on the edge of "nano" but I think you have the right mindset in looking for decent equipent.

I believe that there aren't any good small skimmers, well, for tanks under say 50 gallons. The sapphire skimmer gets pretty good reviews for cube type tanks, but I am just sticking to weekly water changes and running carbon. Most of the other skimmers get poor to terrible reviews.

Haven't been to this website in a while to check but look here.

The guy that runs the sight uses what he sells and never gave me bogus advice when I was setting up my nano cube. His name is Chris.

You might want to post in the nano tank forum for more opinions.

Coralife SuperSkimmer 65. I don't know anyone that has one that doesnt like it, its under $100 and does a great job! Check it out, you won't be sorry.

I had one in my agressive 90 when i first had it set up and it was terrible IMO it would either put out nothing or pure water. :mad2:
Its weird cus the coralife 125 thats in my reef works great

prism is junk

coralife superskimmer people say is ok i think my deltec mce 300 is a good nano skimmer.

I will agree the CSS is finiky to get working properly, but I still think its the best skimmer for the money, esp for smaller tanks. If you want to spend more or have a bigger tank, sure, there are plenty of better skimmmers out there. But for what this guy wants, I still stick with the CSS. And yes, the prism is garbage.

I like the H&S 110 F2000. only a 10 watt pump and the skimmer cranks.

BTW, I am selling one if anyone is interested.

I am running a cpr in my 29g bio cube.....
I do have a sapphire aquatics that worked very well ran it for 2 weeks in my bio cube that is for sale if anyone is interested....
I went with the cpr because of the larger footprint and collection cup.... but the sapphire worked great

I have the Tunze 9002 and i would recomend it. I think it's a great little skimmer and for price at like 130.00 it's a great buy and for a 29 gal would work great.

crap out of the box, but with maxijet 1200, can be modified with thread wheel and new venturi, then it's "o.k."
