dang, I am thinking about dumping a ton of snails into the tank to tackle some algae and figured if the trigger eats a bunch he eats a bunch but hopefully some will get some algae before they're all gone

well I am having a weird situation....I have two tanks plumbed together, one with MH and one with T5s and then a sump...all on the same system

the T5 tank has no algae whatsoever....the MH tank has some weird, thick moss like algae on a few of the rocks

I blamed the trigger and water quality at first, but then I have perfect numbers for amm/trites/trates and on top of that I have 2 thriving anemones....so I am leaning away from water quality.......but it has to be

I am running a phosban w/ recommended amount of DFS phosban+zeolite+carbon

would it hurt anything to double that and fill the reactor up a little bit more?

why not cut down on your lighting for a while to starve out the algea

Light and excess nutrients equal algae. You can cut photo-period, out compete with a large fuge, or limit nutrient input.
