best powerhead for my 26g

6025 nanostreams are nice,if you want to go a little cheaper and dont mind the size you could get a MJ 900 and a ECOMOD kit.

I currently have a MJ1200 with a hydor rotating water deflector, aquaclear 50, and a koralia#2 for flow in the tank and I dont think its enough and all of these look big and ugly in a 26G. The Koralia puts out a huge gph but it doesnt go very far and is weak. Is the Nanostream the same?

the nanostreams go further than the koralias and the ecomoded MJ's?

nope, the nanostreams go further out same with the ecomod kits.

IMO (i have both)the ecomod is just as good as the 6025 as far as flow.i had a hydor and the flow was lost a few inches away from the outlet.the nanostream and ecomod both have flow that reaches out further and stronger than the hydor.if you want to go budget, just get an ecomod kit for the mj you have.

How i wish i had top end equipment! I dont know if you noticed but my occupation is a fulltime student and I dont have a solid imcome. No nice toys for me:(

Tunze 6055 with a controller and you will be able to get it to pulse to cause some real nice random flow

In Buffalo you would pay about 40.00USD for a Koralia 2. Those are very nice.(almost as nice as a Tunze nano stream)

Some of the mod kits cost 20 to 30 USD and you still need a powerhead. :(

To me it is a no-brainer that the Koralia gives you the biggest bang for your buck. (or in your case, your Looney ;) )

He already states he has an MJ1200, so he has the powerhead, just needs the mod. I would go with the SureFlo mod instead of the EcoMod. I have heard the EcoMod has a part that rusts and their clamp is not nearly as good as the SureFlo. Here is the cheapest link for the SureFlo

BTW I have this exact setup in my 30 cube and LOVE it! You will be very happy with this cost effective fix.

hmmm its $14.99 plus $7 shipping and I know from experience that UPS ALWAYS have some heavy duty fees at the border. Wouldnt be suprised if it gets passed $30 in total. Im planning on coming to NY in the winter maybe I can pick it up from some LFS?
