Best predator for monti nudis!!!!!!

I had montis on a cap of my at one time and this is what I did. I dipped the coral in Revive and I got a very soft bristle took brush and brushed the eggs off. Cap came back healthier

ok I have been nudi free for 3 months(as far as I can tell). I am swithching tanks and will be starting will all new lr and sand in the new tank, all corals will be dipped before entering the new system, and I plan on putting the montis in the frag tank to keep an eye on them before adding them to the display, is it safe to say that if there are any montis there is now way for them to reach the display from the tied in frag tank?

If you've had monti's in the tank for 3 months and havent seen a return of the nudi's then I would say you are probably good to go. QT'ing in a seperate tank to make sure is a smart way to go, but there is no assurance that they cant make the trip to the display if you do still have them and the tanks are connected in any fashion.

Are the eggs visible to the naked eye or under a magnifying glass? Do they have a distinctive look, other than the obvious egg look. I am gonna pull mine out and dip them in revive, but when I go at them with a toothbrush I just want to know what to look for, I have tried looking for them while they are in the tank but I haven't seen any, I definitely see the nudi's though.

They are visible to the naked eye. The eggs are usually concealed under the coral, and can be very difficult to spot. Usually laid in a small mass. They are tiny and an opaque color.

Weekly hour long baths in Revive killed them off for me. Haven't had them in several months. It will take 3-4 dips before it fully works getting rid of any hatchlings. Run an air stone or something in the bath and periodically baste to dislodge any nudis. It may not be easy though with a large cap.

1 Hour?

The Bottle says 15 Minutes Max.

Some Corals I only Dip for like 5 Minutes in Revive.

I had M.E.N. and have seen them re-appear from time to time(one adult pops up here and there), but I no longer see any damage on the significant amount of Montipora in the tank. I LOVE wrasses and so I collected several varieties in the same tank. Between all of them they are constantly picking off the rocks and glass and keeping the corals clean.

The mix of wrasses, with better cleaners at the beginning of the list:
Red tail Tamarin wrasse(The sound of this picking off rocks is unbelievably loud)
Leopard wrasse
Yellow Coris wrasse
Adorned Wrasse
Grey Head Wrasse
Exquisite Wrasse

I love me some wrasses!

Hi,

It will be hit or miss with predators. It takes a while for the fish to learn about a new food source. Removing the affected coral will be your best and least painful approach...................Jim
