Best return pump for a 37g

I'm looking for a return pump for my 37g oceanic cube to give me about 400GPH. The sump is 20g if that matters. The overflow is a 1" pipe so I can't have too powerful a return pump or the pipe will not be able to keep up and drain fast enough.

The attributes I'm looking for are the following:
1. Low heat production
2. Quiet
3. Not too pricey

All I need is for the return to match the rate of the overflow drainage. I'll compensate weak return flow with 2 Tunzes 6025s.

Any thoughts and recommendations ")?

Try this calculator to very the flow rate you will end up with. I would recommend Enheim 1260 or 1262, or a Mag 7 or 9 depending on the head loss and return pipe diameter. I personally have an Enheim 1262 which is silent and relaible

For a setup of that size, you dont want that much flow from the return. 3 - 5x display size as a general rule. 100 - 200 GPH or so. A 20G sump is a nice size for a 37G, so you can go a bit bigger. I'd use an Eheim 1250.

Bosworth I dont think you gave the link to the calculator. I like the idea of using a small return pump like an Eheim 1250. Will this be powerful enough if my headloss is about 4-5 feet from bottom of sump to tank?
