How did you ask for large? I've seen other people say something similar but when I ordered mine on their website I didn't see a comment section or anything, unless I'm blind.

I missed the comment section when I ordered my Pukani as well. I think it was because I was ordering a bunch of other stuff at the time. I just called BRS up after placing the order and asked them to send me roughly football size pieces. I'm very happy with what they delivered. Beautiful rock. Lot's of dead sea urchins though. My phosphate and ammonia are still too high after the first two weeks of curing, but it will be worth it in the long run I think. I would advise anyone purchasing it to cure the rock before adding it to the DT though. My phosphates started off at 1.68 ppm.

Hands down I would buy the TBS rock due to all of the biodiversity that lives in it, however it also comes with a host of pest animals that I do not want to deal with.
One of the big downsides with Pukani is having to cure it due to all of the dead stuff on it - could I skip this by doing an acid dip?
How many pounds of Pukani would I need to get a decent sized pile in my 150?
And how many pounds of marco?
I am starting to like the Pukani a lot more than I did before.

People do acid washes of Pukani but frankly I don't understand it. Why go through the headache and danger of working with mass amounts of acid all for what? To prevent, at worst, a couple months of stuff decaying? This hobby is a long game, not short :). Plus, the acid changes the way the Pukani looks. Dry rock already looks barren enough without stripping everything off of it lol.

I threw mine in a brute with salt water, an MJ1200 and a heater and let it sit for a few weeks. I put it in my tank and it's fine. It made for a quick cycle and it's actually nice having decaying material while I QT my fish :) Keeps the bacteria up!

Found some super old pictures of my 120 and 60 using Marco rocks for ya.

Pukani is too delicate to acid wash. I did it with mine and it was a mistake.

Marco can be chiseled and cut as well. I like the way Marco will interlock together and can be assembled in a way that you cannot distinguish between pieces for a more natural look. Also I have never had a phosphate issue with Marco.

If I recall the left structure in my 120 picture is actually 3 pieces and to me it looks like one big matterhorn looking structure. The right side of my 120 is 5-6 pieces and looks like it is one piece. So I agree with your interlocking statement.

I already have about 50lbs of real reef rock from my last tank. Should I sell it or mix it with the pukani?

Mix it in with it, or add to the sump. That old rock will have lots of life in it and help seed the dry rock, that is if you kept it live.

The only problem I have now with pukani would be the phosphate issues. How bad is it and how long does it take to cure?
Also, how sustainable is the rock?
