Best sand for a nano

Is there one type of sand that is best for Nano tanks (15 gallon), or is it all a matter of preference? Is super fine sand good, or is something more coarse better at avoiding nitrate issues?

I would go a little bigger than sugar sand. I get dust storms fairly frequently when the clowns kick it up for whatever reason.

Just don't buy the black live sand... I have it. Don't mind the look but for some reason there's a magnetic part of it, so it kills all magnetic algae cleaners.
