I have a sump that is only 15 gallons. I want a good stong skimmer and wanted to see what you pros might think would be the best.
Thanks

for the 125 in the sig?? i had a bermuda aquatics bps-3c that had a very small footprint (7x5 not including mag5 pump). never got around to using it....but read good things about them before i bought it.

then i had an asm g1x that looked good, but once again sold before using LOL

read good things about i-tech & reef octopus as well

You will be hard pressed to find a skimmer that will fit in that small of a space and still skim 140g system.

MAYBE a Tunze.

What exactly are the dimensions you have to work with?

I was really thinking of a skimmer that would fit in the sump. i did not even think about a stand alone skimmer for some reason. I will be putting it on a 72 gal bow front tank. NOW, what do you guys think will be the best?
Thank You
Jason

If someone has a extra one out there let me know
Thanks

I didn't find the price bad at all compared to other skimmers in the same realm of performance. The cheapest ATB skimmers are over twice as much and if I were buying ATB those are not the ones I would go for.

Actually the new ATB 840v1.5 has a price of $665 shipped, and that includes skimmer, pump, and both pinwheels.

Also, the skimmer has a seamless molded body, highly polished edges, removable base plate for easy cleaning and a drain on skimmer cup.

When I was looking at the I-Tech 200, by the time I added up the skimmer plus pump, plus extra for a drain on the skimmer cup, and shipping, there was not that much of a difference in price between the I-Tech and ATB. They are both great skimmers, and cannot go wrong with either one as they are pretty close in price right now.
