What type of snail or CUC is best for removal of GHA? I'm working on getting rid of the excess nutrients that are causing it but I would also like to enlist some extra help via inverts. Thanks in advance.
My snails don't really touch the filamentous algae (I believe its Derbesia). I have an emerald, but it seems to scatter it around more than eat it. A lot of people say sea hares do a great job, but usually end of starving in smaller tanks (plus they can release toxins when stressed). The best method ive found is manual removal and keeping your nutrients as low as possible.
I picked up 3 medium sized turbos today and they are mowing it down like there is no tomorrow. I already had some cerinths in there but they mostly stay on the glass and weren't doing anything for the rocks. I have not had any luck keeping massarius long term so I've given up on those even though they are great for the sandbed.
