Best Stores in/around Nashville

What are some of the good stores in Nashville. I live in Bowling Green, KY, which is only a 40 minute drive to Nashville. I've been to Aquatic Critter several times, but they seem a bit high on coral, although they generally have quite a selection. Your thoughts? Thanks.

You aren't going to find corals for any less than the Aquatic Critter sells them, as all local prices are high. If you are looking for corals to buy, your best bet is to post what you want on this forum and see if any other members have frags to sell.

Two other local stores with nice SW departments are Emerald Bay and FINS which is on Hwy 96 in Franklin, south of Nashville.

Before I drove to Nashville or anywhere else I would look in my own back yard. I always stop at Phishy Business in BG. This is not a cheap hobby but I tell you what they have some really nice tanks up there. I would go out on a limb an probably say some of the nicest and largest selections in this whole area.

Oh yeah, I go to Fishey Business like 2-3 times a week, and have spent probably close to 4 grand there. I do like the setup they have there, and trust me, everyone there knows me by name. haha. But I just like looking in different places really, different types of shops, etc.

I like Fins in Franklin. They really seem to take care of their livestock. The Aquatic Critter has a great selection and some knowledgeable people working there.

I would go to wet pets for time to time and emerald bay is 10 times the store wet pets was and ac has gone down hill if you are looking for corals and a lot higher

I have not been to Wet Pets or Fins, but I highly recommend Emerald Bay. I had a fire 2 months ago and I lost 125 tank. It was my worst day. :( All my little babies were gone. I also had a 55 with alot of SPS. I called AC to see if they can hold my stuff just for a couple of weeks. The reason I called them because I shop there alot. Well, they said no. I called EB and they said no problem. Kevin, Jason and Sean are really good guys. They went out of their way and stayed open late until I brought my corals over. Unfornately after a few weeks, I still lost all of my corals due to the stress of moving them back and forth. There are not many stores that would help u like this. Not only did they went above and beyond customer service, they made me feel alright even though I lost everything. I am back on my feet amd have recently started a 75. Even before the fire, I have enjoyed shopping at EB. They are knowlegdable and straightforward. They tell it like it is. They are not going to sale u something that your tank is not really for or don't need.

I went there for the first time the other day and they were very helpful and the prices were pretty good. They did have some hair algae in their coral tanks but otherwise everything looked OK. Heads and shoulders about the Fish Bowl by the airport.

I love fishy business!we are going up this afternoon! kevin is the best salesperson! i love chatting with him about fish stuff.

i don't get down to eb much or ac because they are just to far from me to go often. but fishy business is only 30 minutes.

pets to love in bg, are ok. but their tanks are dirty sometimes. ptl do have cheap coral frags from time to time tho. so i check when i go up there.

I dont care for the fish bowl. the people are nice, but the tanks have been way filthy the last two times i went. which was months apart. so i just feel there stuff is risky to place in my tank.

there are two in clarksville, tn. that i know of, but had heard there was another but never found it tho. pet palace? not sure of its name, and downtown aquatics and exotics. i don't know if that one is still in business or not. but it was a nice place last year, but a bit tiny.

good luck
