Best tank parameters for Zoas

I was just curious what everyones parameters was for their zoa tanks thats producing alot of gowth, Ive only check the basic parameters so far just because Ive not bought any other tests to do it. Do you dose your zoa tanks? If so with what and how much per day?

Whats the main parameters to worry about with zoas? I know like calcium is important for SPS but is it for Zoas and LPS? Ive heard high Mag levels helps with Phosphate levels and keeping algea down but wasnt for sure.

So whats the best levels to keep your tank at? I will have Zoas, softies and LPS in my tank. Suggestions?

I thought that was something I read on RC maybe im mistaken, but I thought thats what I read. Anyway doesnt anyone with zoa dominated tanks have any advice?

I dought high mag levels will lower P04 I have heard local reefers talking about doing that around here, but then I started to ask what tank they had and apparently they did not even have a tank! So I would not believe that for one second just because some kid is telling you something does not mean it is true.

Zoas like light, meat, and alk+cal.

Meat?
Alk + cal ?

Grandis.

keep basic perimeters keep alk and good calcium levels plus regular feedind schedules always works for me have over 25 different types lol and growing

Zoas seem to like "dirty " water. Ive seen videos of zoas growing like crazy in Thailand right by a sewage spout! You dont have Yo be as diligent about dosing and water change with zoas as you do with other corals like sps

Yea I heard that too and read a post that said nitrate of 5 is recommended. Never seen any proof of it though , not like there is an advancedaquera write up about it.

How dirty is your guys water and how fast are they growing?

I have 8 different types of zoas, and some grow faster than others.

My rastas are the slowest growing, only producing 1 new head per month, sometimes not even that.

When my Radio Active Dragon Eye will produce, 4-6 new heads per month, sometimes more.

So it might depends on a lot to do with what type of zoa it is rather than what your tank parameters are...

is there anything in particular that anyone doses for their zoas? whats some of the best things to target feed your zoas? I bought reef chilli to feed my whole tank but dont know that it will benefit my zoas.

That's interesting to me. My rastas seem to be the fastest growing zoa in my tank of the 10 or so that I have.

soaking food with vit enrich and amino supplements...
keeping water parameters stable especially alk...i keep mine on the higher side 9-10 and my zoas/palys like it....i have high nutrients..i feed a lot..keeping up with water change

A buddy of mine told me that he read dosing with vitamin c. He puts a few pills in the tank every few days.

Anyone heard of this?

I love all the different Zoas you have! Nice shots I have to get to collecting up some more zoas of different colors and bigger sized frags! I got to figure out getting them to start taking off and growing well.
