best way to clean up a tank

I just drained my 72 and want to try to clean i up a bit before selling.
Is it okay to use vinegar inside the tank to clean off all the coralineand junk that is on the glass, any other suggestions?
Any way to remove some small scratches, I have heard lime juice, any other suggestions?

Vinegar works fine and is completely safe.

if it's acrylic, novos buffing solution and a cheap electric buffer for the fine scratches.
