Best Way to Frag Cespitularia

Hi everybody!
I was just wondering, what the best method is, to frag cespitularia.

I have a large bunch of them that I've been trying to break up but the cut off pieces just seem to melt away on me.
So far I've tried rubberbanding cut pieces to a plug (probably the worst way, the rubberband crushes them even if its not too tight).
And I've tried peeling away the base of them, and letting it re-grow onto the plug, then cutting it. This seems to work well but it takes a while.

So what would be your recomended way for fragging some cespits, theyr pretty delicate

Thanks!

You could try using bridal veil netting to hold the frag to the plug until it attaches, I have seen that done successfully with other types of xenia.

the netting that holds the garlic bulbs together when you buy it from the supermarket works really well in holding down the cespitularia. I put the netting over the cespitularia on the frag plug and tie it down with a rubberband

Im not sure if this would help with cespitularia but what I do with Xenia is pretty simple. I just cut the xenia in half then stab it through the base/body with a toothpick and then push the toothpick into the sand/rubble and let the xenia attach to the rubble/sand then glue to a rock. You could try this, not sure of the sensitivity of cespitularia though. Good Luck!!
