i have pink pulsing xenias in my tank that are spreading and moving where ever they please! Id like to take some and put them on frag discs to trade/sell but once cut they are so slimy that i cant glue them...
any info is appreciated as always!

Can you remove the rock they are on and use cutters to nip a chip of them off the rock?

Then glue the rock chip to a plug.

i think i will do that for a couple of them! But they are on my intake pipe for my fluval 405 also :-) and then on some not so easy to remove rocks and creeping up on other corals

Fragging Xenia?

Fragging Xenia?

Juust take a cutting and attach to small piece of rock or disc or plug and wrap with elastic or tie with dental floss ... It only takes 48 hours for them to attach and then you can cut the floss or elastic.... Very easy!!!!

Grab them with forceps close to the base and peel them off from whatever they are on. Take a container with some gravel in it and place them in it with a rock or frag disk on top of the xenia. A day or so later the xenia will have attached to the rock/disk. No worries about being gentile or anything with it while peeling it off, it's tough as nails.

A bit slower... But I always just put small pieces of rubble in the middle of a bunch and in a couple of weeks, they migrate. (Like coconuts)

if at all possible cut out of your tank as they can release chemicals. I like xenia, but keep it contained on it's own rock to limit spreading.

I have a colony that grows across sand !! This stuff is pretty cool but damn it grows hog wild...
