Best way to mount Frogspawn to live rock?

Hello reefers, just bought a frogspawn 3 days ago and it's been doing doing well. I have it on my sandbed right now. It has 5 heads and is Fairly large. What's the best method to mount it to my live rock. Or is there a stand that i can make to elevate it from the sand.

Epoxy would probably be your best bet IMO. Just knead together a small ball and then place it on your rock. Lay the Frogspawn skeleton across the epoxy so that most of the heads are facing up towards the light and press down. Hold it in place for about a minute or so and you should be set. GL.

Go with the epoxy. Mold it to make a nice stand so you get circulation all around.

Don't worry if the epoxy stand doesn't match perfectly in color. It will over time get covered in coraline and match the rock.

Also be careful where you place your Frogspawn. It can shoot out very long sweeper tentacles that can sting nearby corals. To minimize the stingers have it placed in a good current area. Not too much current or it won't fully open up to display it's beauty. Peek in at night to see if and where the sweepers are extending.

My go-to method for mounting frags is a hybrid of the two - using both epoxy putty and superglue gel. But in my experience, frogspawn (especially one with several heads like yours) is so top-heavy and the epoxy putty doesn't set quickly enough that it's unable to hold it upright. The superglue gel actually doesn't set all that fast either.

What I'd suggest is actually just normal superglue - the runny type. Take both the live rock and the frogspawn out of the tank, and while holding the coral against the rock the way you want to mount it, apply the superglue. Normal superglue will run so be careful to make sure it doesn't run off where you don't want it. Squirt some tank water onto the superglue to help it set. Apply more superglue if needed.

Hope that helps!

Picture is worth a thousand words.

My tanks oldests corals are purple frogspawns. All started many years ago from a single head.

Corals have come and gone (died), but mighty Frogspawns have lived through ever possible event and disaster.

Over time as they grew, branches were broken off to start new clusters.
Some are "expoxy stem glued" (like the center one, where you can see the fresh whitish epoxy at bottom). Same for the one in the cave.

Some just lying on rock, or the stem stuck in a perfect fit hole (as the one on the far left).

This next photo shows re-arrangment, to make room for my newest Frogspawn Frag on the left which is a "Gold tipped Frogspawn".
Never saw one before, so bought it right away. Less then 2 weeks old. Hoping it grows and branches out, like the purple ones did.
