I plan on buying a emp angel. Is there anything I need to know before I start to qt him. I plan to put him in copper.

Copper is a toxin and an immunosuppressant. That alone should be enough reason not to use it, especially not on fish that have previously been weakened by the strenuous collecting and shipping process.
It also often causes a Lymphocystis outbreak with new fish and especially with angels.

TTM is a good way to clean fish of Cryptocaryon. Though it may be tough to execute with large fish.

Another option would be to treat him with CP (NLS Ick-Shield Powder) which also takes care of Amyloodinium and a few other protozoan parasites.
