Best way to raise NO3

I have a softy and zoa tank upstairs that has 20 nitrate. Is it a good idea to take the water from water Change and add it to my 220? Or just wait it out with my Skimmer and ATS OFF get them to raise? Not sure what to do because I have never had a problem with LOW/NO Nitrates. It's normally the opposite in my little tank. All opinions are appreciated and encouraged. Thanks guys/gals.

Did you put the whole bag in? lol

Hehe. No, I mixed two tablespoons in RODI water and dosed three or four days. Zero zero zero and 13.5 on day 4:D It worked kind of sneakily, but I learned to maybe only dose every other day and use less than I read.

Would you guys recommend it for newbies. I left pife out because he needs to stop answering here and get to installing that tank :D

I hope you're not implying that I am a newbie. I watched all the BRS 52 weeks of reefing videos. I am going to write a book. [emoji23]

Nope, you've watched 53 weeks more than I have :hmm6:

I hope you know I was being 100% facetious. My tank picture and questions are a direct reflection of my lack of experience. I appreciate you and the rest of the folks here in the greatest group I belong to.
