best way to remove an bta from the rocks.

ok my problem is i have a 40 breeder with a large rose bta that split about two months ago. the clone is about 6-8 inchs already and is starting to wander. the rock the two anemones are on is basically flat where the foots are attached.

i need to get the clone out for sale. to many zoas etc on the other side of the tank that can get burned out if this clone continue to wander.

so what do you guys think in the safiest way of removing the clone? credit card on the foot gently to remove it. only other worry i have is the origanal rbta is on the same rock so if i remove the rock to get the clone off i will have to take both the anemones out for a short period of time. is this going to irritate the origanal rbta and cause it to move around? the origanal has been it is origanal spot for over a year now.

Got an extra mj1200 around? Blast the foot with it, set it close so it doesn't bother the other one.

Nice tank btw. If it wasn't for the clown in the pic, I'd never guess it was a 40

thank you. ya its packed. and i have two more zoa rocks coming this week. got to love this addiction. wish i had room for a bigger tank.

thats actually a duncan coral.

Sorry the yesterday pic hadn't loaded so I was going by an old one. I'm asking about the green one below the duncan. You've got a red one just like it to the left.

Yeah though, blast the foot and it should let go fairly quick. I've never owned a bta but it worked for my condy and my sebae.

its a neon green monti cap.

it would have taken to long for the power head. i looked again and the other rbta had moved its foot to a rock closer so i was able to hold the flat rock and use a turkey baster to slowly get it to let go of the rock.

its sitting in a floating containment as we speak..lol.

actually funny part is when i moved the rock the rbta was on i found my blue coral banded shrimp i thought had gone mia a few months ago. love when that happens.

Freeze some RO water into an icecube. Rub the icecubes on the foot, it should let go.
