Best way to ship n receive payment!

It depends on what your shipping. If it's corals and live stuff, next day is the best IMO. For drygoods, any method/carrier will do. I like USPS because they are the cheapest, but they can really beat up your stuff so pack it well. Any carrier can potentially harm your shipment, but it seems USPS has it happen more then most, IME.

For payment I like PayPal the best. It's quick and easy. Money orders/cashers checks are my next favorite. HTH.

As for the payment part, paypal is easy. I like to send 1/2 the money plus shipping cost up front, and the remainder after receipt. That way the buyer and seller are covered.

Are you selling crap?? Paypal is the easiest way to go. I know a guy that sold frags. During the winter people bought stuff from him. We had a cold spell and was 20-30 degress for a few days. He said that it would be better to wait out the storm. The person buying the frags didnt care and told him to ship them anyway. All this was documented in email. When they arrived at the guys house they were dead. He contacted paypal and they refunded him the money. So it kind of sucks being the seller as paypal strongly protects the buyer, even if the complaint is unjust.

Paypal is kind of easy but it SUCKS, I hate paypal. Many people have been burnt like pmolna said, pluss really high fees.

well i am selling Purple Capnella frags, but the shipping required to get them to where it is going is like $60.00! Is that common?

If it's overnight then pretty much. That is on the high end unless it's a good distance away.

I don't think there is anyway to protect yourself 100% unless you created an ebay auction and made a release of liability in the auction. I find it hard to believe paypal would refund money when liability had been previously accepted in an email but I've seen stranger things.

If you don't respond to a complaint however it will automatically rule in the plaintiffs favor.

paypal ask for too many things, and most of the time is impossible to get all they want

Paypal will also only help within 30 days or something like that. I got screwed by a guy who stalled then never shipped and paypal didnt do squat because it was over their time limit.

Paypal isn't going to take anyone's money from anyone's account unless there is just cause. The people that say they got money taken from their accounts are not telling the whole story. Somethings missing somewhere... that's why I make sure I withdrawal my money to my bank account any time someone pays me. Protects my end.

kmjoen230, what zip codes are you shipping from and to? How big is the box and how much will it weigh?
