I have great growth in all of my corals sps , lps, softies.
I have pretty good polyp extension on most if not all of my sps corals. I also have rather good color not amazing color but enough to please. I would like rather hairy corals.
What should I look into so I can get better polyp extension?
I've read that if the coral is doing good then its "ok" to not have crazy PE. I think that doesn't make any sense. I've also read they more poly extension the corals has they more "starved" the corals is ...doesn't make sense cause the people I know that have crazy polyp extension are fast growers and great color.
And I did try not feeding my sps for a month and I saw no less and no more polyp extension.
I have no fish that are picking at corals, no known pests. My tank temp is a stable 80'f and 125 salinity and it stays stable cause I top of at two to three times in the day so I have little to no swing. My closed loop is my only main flow and it is very random.
Thanks.
