Does anyone know if a Bicolor Blenny eats hair algae?
If not what can I get that does?

Many types of Blennies eat algae. Whether or not they eat hair algae depends on the particular fish.
I have a Starry Blenny (awesome fish) that only eats film algae. I battled horrible hair algae for months and he was no help what so ever.
My Bicolor Blenny keeps the rocks very clean. I do not have hair algae in that tank so I couldn't say for sure if he would eat it. I did have some patches of fluffy green growth and he took care of it.
I used to have a Lawnmower Blenny. I got him after an outbreak of hair algae and he gobbled it all up within a week or so. This was in a 90 gallon tank. Unfortunately he would not touch any other food I put into the tank and starved to death.
My Yellow Tang eats short hair algae. I don't know about the long stuff.

Yea I have a Starry Blenny in my 125 reef tank and you are right, it is an awsome fish, keeps everything mowed down. I was looking at a Bicolor for my nano tanks and have heard that it is hit or miss with them on whether or not they would eat the hair algae.

My blenny only eats diatoms and other film type algae and never touched GHA but would nip at the short turf type algae. As far as fish that will eat GHA it is very hit and miss. I was able to get my rabbitfish and tangs to nibble at it when I cut back on their other feed but they were never very enthusiastic about eating it, the stuff must taste pretty bad.
On a side note this fish was bannated to the refugium after nipping at several of my montipora.

My bicolor blenny doesn't bother my Maxima clam at all. I just wish he would help out a bit with the hair algae. He pecks at rocks every now and then but hasn't helped in the algae control department. Sounds like hit or miss in a few areas. At the LFS where I purchased him, he did have a bad reputation. He was living inside a Coco worm tube and was blamed for killing the worm and stealing his home.
