Big Mamma pics

Live food rarely goes in her tank, but I can re-visit some of her previous videos, like Trigger vs Algae (for the Vegans out there):

Or, Trigger vs Siphon Tube. She is "helping" me siphon the sand out of her tank to replace it with aragonite because she stirred up the sand so much that she burned out a $250 pump:

Trigger vs Lionfish, as stickied above:

The only actual live feeding video, Trigger vs Bad Damsel. The damsel killed a tang at the lfs, and was literally about to be flushed. You can see why live feedings would only get her hurt.

Wooohoo damn! That was one damsel in distress..:wavehand:

Updated Big Mamma pics! She's doing great, and still growing, about 22" total length. The Lunar Wrasse is in the 7"-8" range now, and is the perfect clean-up crew for the trigger.

Must have missed it so asking :) what size tank is your queen in now? I'm looking at moving mine to a 210 in the next few months from a 125. Again beautiful fish!

That's an amazing fish. It's really great looking. Lots of blue tint to that queen trigger too, more so than I've seen on others. Mine's definitely got more a yellow hue to it.

I'd like to see another video of it :)

Hey guys,

The streamers didn't start really growing longer until the last six months or so. I see a lot of younger ones out there with nice ones. The tank is a 180 RR.

I need to come up with a couple of solutions. I'm thinking about making a vertical splash guard on the top of the tank. Even with glass tops and a canopy on, she can splash a huge amount of water out of the tank.

The other is to find some indestructible powerheads. She can easily pull the K4's off of the glass and destroy them. She doesn't bite the cord, but she rips the rubber boots off, and bites the tines from the housing. They're just toys to her.

Anyone know if there is a Queen Trigger picture thread? If not, we should start one, there are enough of them out there now.

Build a plexiglass box for the powerheads to sit in, use really thick plexi and you should be fine.

Thanks, geaux xman. Big Mamma is still alive and doing well. She lives with the Clown Tang now, because the tang was too aggressive for the other tank. Bullying the Blueline Trigger of equal size. That tang is one mean fish. The Lunar Wrasse disappeared one day and hasn't been seen since. A large hermit crab also lives with her. The shell is too hard for her to break.

Here are links that work:

Here's another picture from a while back that I had not posted. A friend had a mean Maroon Clown that nobody would take. I gave it a try, bought large pieces of rock for hiding places, did a full three week Cupramine/Prazi QT, all for it to last 30 seconds. The clown didn't go for the rocks at all.

Wow crazy! My goldenheart did the same thing to a wrasse, reminds me of my dog except they use fish as their chew toys...

Yuuup! that would be an ocean fish at that size. Do you think he would be ok in my 33gal reef if i changed 5% water every month....baHAHA.
